HOPS ESSENTIAL OIL

Our organically crafted Hops Essential Oil is steam distilled from the fresh flowers of the Humulus lupulus plant carefully grown in the northwestern region of the USA. Hops flowers are most widely known for their role in brewing beer, however they are often used in herbal tea blends for their soothing and calming qualities.

Hops plants are dioecious, meaning that they have separate male and female plants. The female flower is the one utilized for brewing beer. While the resins and alpha-acids found within hops flowers are responsible for making beer bitter, essential oils within the hop cone contribute many of its flavor and aroma characteristics.

Hops Oil is used in perfumery and fragrancing applications, and it is used at low dilutions in deodorants and deodorizing formulations. Being a rich source of flavonoids and antioxidants, Hops Essential Oil also acts as an effective anti-aging agent that tightens skin, fights free radical damage and oxidative stress and prevents the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines and age spots on the skin.
