Our organically crafted Nilotica East African Shea Butter is a rare, exclusive, cold-pressed butter extracted from the nuts of a subspecies of Shea trees from the Africa's eastern regions. West African Shea Butter is traditionally pressed from the nuts of shea trees of the species Butyrospermum parkii, and Nilotica Shea Butter is pressed from the nuts of East African shea trees (Vitellaria Nilotica).
While both West African and East African (Nilotica) Shea Butters offer impressive benefits, Nilotica Shea Butter possesses a higher Olein content, with the essential fatty acid content 25% higher compared to traditional West African Shea Butter and is softer, creamier and sweeter in aroma
