REPORTED USES & BENEFITS
Sapote oil is a light, non-greasy, vitamin-rich oil that helps balance sebum production, benefiting those with overly oily or overly dry scalps. Sapote oil is said to have anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and cell-regenerating properties, helping to alleviate scalp conditions such as dandruff and eczema.
Mamey sapote oil is also rich in essential fatty acids, which help prevent hair damage caused by free radicals, improve hair shine and elasticity (leading to less breakage), and keep hair moisturized for longer. Due to the anti-inflammatory effects of its fatty acid content, sapote oil is thought to be beneficial for people with psoriasis, eczema, acne and other skin conditions. It helps reduce dandruff and blemishes on the skin, and vitamins A, B, C and E are amazing antioxidants and nutrients that support and promote scalp health and hair growth. Clinical trials have also shown that this oil is effective in treating hair loss caused by seborrheic dermatitis.
