Onion Seed Oil
Our organically crafted Onion Oil is extracted from the seeds of Red Onions bulbs (Allium cepa), the most widely cultivated species of the genusu Allium, that also includes garlic, shallots, leeks and chives. These nutrient-packed vegetables contain various vitamins, minerals and potent plant compounds that have have been recognize do since ancient times for their medicinal benefits.
Many of us recognise Onion as one of the main ingredients used in cooking and found in practically almost all recipes in a cooking book. Red Onions, in particular, contain Anthocyanins - special plant pigments in the flavonoid family that give red onions their deep color. Quercetin is another flavonoid antioxidant that's highly concentrated in Onions.
